Eveline Ypma / Laugarvatn

Eveline Ypma is a (film) composer, multi-instrumentalist and sound artist. She specializes in compositions with a subdued and playful character. Her love for nature is reflected in her creations through soundscapes; this brings a idiosyncratic and organic dimension to her music.

As an inquisitive musician, Eveline embarks on a journey of discovery into fascinating sounds and environments, from volcanic sounds from Iceland to lively sounds on a beach entrance in the Dutch dunes. She tells a story masterfully with a combination of field recordings, soundscapes and musical instruments. Her use of unique sounds and her authentic environment make her landscapes unique.

For this show, Eveline has joined forces with the Open Culture Tech project to explore the potential of creative AI for her live performance. By looking for the possible impact of AI, the show safely becomes an audiovisual spectacle.
